Care Packages for Troops

Testimonials from the Troops

I am a U.S. Marine deployed overseas with 13thMarine Expeditionary Unit. I am the commander of an artillery battery. I want to send a big thank you for letters and care packages on behalf of all of our Marines and Sailors. We just spent over a month training for combat off ship in Djibouti, Africa in 100+ degree heat. When we arrived back on ship, your packages were waiting for us and a very welcome surprise for everyone who endured through the austere conditions. We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve our country and defend your freedom as Americans, and we are humbled by your patriotism. I will send photos with the care packages if I’m able to. In the meantime, you may look for some pictures posted on the 13th MEU Facebook page in the coming days. There are so many letters, but I will send special thanks for a few:

Alicia Cheplick with Courage on All Fronts in Florida; Lizzie Martin; Victor in Mrs. Lowry’s 3rd grade class at Zwink Elementary, Spring, Texas; and Lejla at Mustang High School in Mustang, Oklahoma.

 Semper Fidelis,

 Captain Josh Faucett

Our organization sends care packages to troops overseas throughout the year and during the holiday season. We conduct an annual event for care packages every year. This is our 2nd annual event and it will be held on November 12, 2016 in Memorial Park in Downtown Stuart, Fl. It is called a “Walk in Their Shoes” and consists of people loading backpacks with items for the troops, walking the walk, and then donating the items at the end of the walk.
